air drive oil and gas

A Greener Approach

AirDrive Automated PDGS

A core belief of AirDrive is to produce oil and gas through a "greener" approach, which is obtained through deployment of the AirDrive automated PGDS. According to the National Stripper Well Association, there are thousands of these marginal oil ad gas wells that are currently in production in the United States and represent 80% of the total wells found. These wells are responsible for 19.6% of all oil and gas produced domestically however, many of these wells have fallen out of favor with the conventional operator due to high operating costs and low profit margins. This has led to a large inventory of low producing and underperforming wells. AirDrive believes in targeting these wells the advantages are not only economic, but socially and environmentally just. Some of the benefits of the AirDrive initiative are below.

Benefits of the AirDrive Initiative

  • No need to drill new wells, thus reducing environmental damage due to new exploration, primarily horizontal drilling.
  • Stripper and marginal wells are not generally good candidates for “fracking “, therefore the controversial practice is largely avoided.
  • The AirDrive System is aesthetically pleasing compared to pump jacks. The harmful impacts, both visual and environmental, in most circumstances are eliminated.
  • As there are no moving parts on the surface, risk to humans and animals, such as migratory birds, cattle, etc., are greatly minimized, if not eliminated.
  • By reducing electricity consumption (pump jacks are generally powered by electricity) stress on the electrical grid is reduced.
  • Full remote automation allows for real-time monitoring and control, resulting in higher efficiency and less problems due human error.
  • By utilizing the AirDrive System, production is maximized, thus increasing the economic life of existing wells.
